Stavros Katsios was born in Thessaloniki in 1962. He is member of the German Bar Association (DAV) and Associate Professor of International Economic Relations and International Economic Crime of the Ionian University . He graduated from the German School of Thessaloniki. He has undergraduate legal studies at the University of Cologne ( Germany), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Georgetown ( USA) and postgraduate studies in European Law at the University of Saarland ( Germany ) . He holds a Ph.D. in International Economics and Commercial Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in financial crime and money laundering. He is the author of monographs and articles in Greek and foreign scientific journals. He is director of the Laboratory of Geo - Cultural Analysis of the Ionian University and director of two scientific publishing series. He teaches at the National Security School of the Police Academy. He is a member of the Association of Certified Anti Money-laundering Specialists (ACAMS) U.S. He speaks English and German fluently. |
